First and foremost, I believe lessons should be an engaging and positive experience for students! They should be challenged to reach their full potential while focusing on solid fundamentals, including proper technique, note-reading skills, rhythmic accuracy, and more. Lessons also provide an opportunity to explore creativity through improvisation, arranging, and basic jazz skills. Collaborating with other students is also encouraged, whenever possible, through duets or ensemble playing. My focus is school aged children through adults, with focus on beginning through college-prep level repertoire.

There are 36 weeks of lessons during the school year, two of which are small performance classes held in my studio. Students may also choose to participate in studio recitals and piano festivals for additional performance opportunities.

My ultimate goal is to provide students with a strong musical foundation and instill a love for music that will stay with them throughout their lives.
