Since 1997, I've taught piano in the West Linn community, and today I work with 50 students each week. My studio is in the daylight basement of my home near Sunset School, where I strive to create a welcoming, engaging environment for every student.

A lifelong West Linn resident, I graduated from West Linn High School and earned a Bachelor of Music from Linfield College, studying under Dr. Jill Timmons. My early teachers — Carmen Zion of West Linn and Barbara Parker of Portland — laid the foundation for a lifetime of playing, teaching, and performing.

I'm a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music through the Music Teachers National Association, and an active member of the Oregon Music Teachers Association, the Oregon Federation of Music Clubs, and the National Federation of Music Clubs.

Outside the studio, I enjoy time with my wife, Michelle, our two children, Lila and Ben, and our Beagle, Luna. I'm also a devoted Portland Trail Blazers fan and spend my free time woodturning and laser engraving.
