Since 1997, I have taught piano in the West Linn community, currently working with 50 students each week. My studio is located in the daylight basement of my home near Sunset School, where I strive to create a welcoming and engaging environment for every student.

A lifelong West Linn resident, I graduated from West Linn High School and went on to earn a Bachelor of Music degree from Linfield College, studying under Dr. Jill Timmons. My early teachers — Carmen Zion of West Linn and Barbara Parker of Portland — laid the foundation for a lifetime of enjoyment in playing, teaching, and performing.

I am a nationally certified teacher of music through the Music Teachers National Association and an active member of the Oregon Music Teachers Association, the Oregon Federation of Music Clubs, and the National Federation of Music Clubs.

Outside the studio, I enjoy spending time with my wife, Michelle, our two children, Lila (15) and Ben (12), and our Beagle, Luna. My personal interests include rooting for the Portland Trail Blazers and pursuing woodturning and laser engraving as hobbies.
